Who is Argus?
From Greek mythology, Argus Panoptes was a giant with 100 eyes. He was tasked by the queen of the gods (Hera) to watch Lo, a woman who’d caught the eye of Hera’s husband, Zeus
Much like Argus, we will look out for you, super-vigilant and unwearying in our efforts to discover the best route for you and your business.
As Sharon says, “The problems that keep you awake at night are what gets me out of bed in the morning”. She’s a modern-day Argus (with 98 fewer eyes).

What’s Special About Argus Accounting
The Greek giant Argus, after whom we are named, is a dependable overseer, with excellent vision and a steady gaze. Founded on the same principles, Argus Accounting is a family-run practice set up by Sharon Hirsh.
After 20 years in practice, Sharon was frustrated with the way traditional firms worked with their clients. Accountants were charging clients for work that mainly benefited HMRC, and when Sharon suggested ideas that would benefit the clients, she was turned down because of cost. With her first loyalty being to her clients’ continued success, it was time to make a change.
Armed with fresh ideas and a clients-first approach (apparently a rare concept in the accounting world), Sharon decided it was the perfect time to try branching out alone.
With a lot of help from partners Lipson and Co, Argus grew more quickly than expected, and now includes Sharon’s son and daughter.
